ACUPUNCTURE

Acupuncture is a form of treatment that involves penetrating the skin with hair thin, solid, sterile, metallic needles which are then activated through gentle and specific movements of the acupuncturist’s hands or with electrical stimulation.

This ancient practice of Traditional Chinese medicine is connected by pathways and meridians that practitioners believe to have more than 2,000 acupuncture points to promote natural healing. These pathways create an energy flow called Qi (pronounced "chee").

If there is disturbance in Qi movement, this can generate illness. By applying acupuncture needles to certain points, it is thought to improve the flow of Qi, thereby improving the individual’s overall health that addresses the physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.
